Posted on: Dec 22, 2011, at 08:55 AM
Sarmady actively participated in the "Buy Egyptian Day" and wanted to raise awareness about the event to the millions of daily visitors on Sarmady's websites.
Banners were created to tell Egyptians how to know whether or not a product is made in Egypt by checking the serial number under the bar code of the product, which should start with 622.
Additionally, Sarmady gave away free advertising. A total of 22 campaigns for various types of brands ran on Sarmady's websites. The highest click-through rate (CTR) was registered by the Three Chefs campaign. The CTR was 0.82% which is considerably higher than the average CTR for banner ads (roughly estimated to be 0.2%).
